Varnish reacting with Revelle Aqueous paint

Just a quickie here I painted the model below using aqueous paints acrylics then to seal the final result sprayed it using Humbrol enamel varnish which was a mistake but also as Bob Ross the painter used to call a happy accident
As you can see the paint has been attacked by in a subtle way to give the effect of worn and faded paint scheme which I could never achieve has anyone else had similar occurrence

    Regards

    Colin

Ive had this problem when i used to use revell, found there paints pretty good but this happened a few times when applying there matt varnish, think its a case of paint going on to wet and the matting agent floats to the surface.
