69' Yenko Camaro

Hi all

Not sure if this is the correct place to put this but im looking for a somewhere to buy a specific paint.

I have a AMT model, 1969 Yenko Camaro model.



I would like to paint it the same original colour as on the box which I believe is Le Mans blue (code 71), now where can I buy this in an aerosol?

It's a beautiful blue. A brief search reveals nothing obvious in the UK, but there are overseas options for you. It is possible that you could go to a GM dealership and get some touch up paint for your colour.

It is Joe, thanks for your help. Will have to find a chevy dealer and see if they can supply a small amount as I dont think the camaro was released over here.

Would using an automotive paint be ok?

I've used automotive paints on plastic aircraft with no problems.

Hi Tom, give Vauxhall Arden Blue a try. It's the closest colour i can think of and with Vauxhall being in the same family as GM you never know.
