    Painting rubber parts? Help please...

    Hi all good people,

    Currently working on the Iron Man Mk. 42, the hands are made of rubber, my paint is peeling of easily and it gets sticky when i touch it, any idea what's the best paint for rubber? Any input are appreciated

    Ok, here we go

    Now this subject I know all too well

    I painted the hands with an undercoat of Halfords grey primer first, this is a great all rounder undercoat. Next I used Alclad II Gloss Black Base, I leave this then for a week only because some of the Alclad gloss's are very sticky and need time to dry.

    Once it's dry I use the Alclad Chrome as a base and this helps show the depth in the final Hotmetal Red colour I use.

    Doing the hands this way I had no problems with flaking paint or tacky paint.

      Thanks Adrian, im still trying to put LED to both hands, then i'll try grey primer it then use lacquer clear red for those hands.
