Alclad hints and info ( word of warning )

Not a great title as I didn't really know what to call my post

I'll start by saying these are my own observations on my recent use of Alclad paints. Now I've used Alclad for a few years now and never have any issue with finishes, I can get great results with the chrome and any of the metal colours, this wasn't an over night thing it took some practice and I thought I had it all laid down on how to use them, that was until I used the Candy range of colours.

The Candy range require a specific base coat, in my case I was using Bright Silver Candy Base, with Candy Indigo enamel as the main colour. You have to be patient with the Candy colours and only spray light coats, leave for 15 mins then apply another coat until you get the depth of colour you require.

So all straight forward no issues, well that was until I thought I could spray the Indigo colour onto the Alclad Chrome I had sprayed on another section of the model, boy was I wrong, within seconds the top Indigo colour pools and fish eyes into an awful mess.

Error number two was similar to the first, trying to spray Hotmetal Red onto the Bright silver candy base results in the Red colour turning into a very nasty black.

Finally a word of caution on using the Model Master Metaliser sealer, Don't!!! If it gets onto any of the Alcald colours it turns into the most horrible gloop you have ever seen.

I'm no expert but I just thought it may help someone in the future to avoid my mistakes
