Humbrol gloss cote, waterproof?

Is humbrol gloss cote waterproof I make my own fishing floats and as it dries clear it would be nice to make use of it.

Best thing is to use some car spray varnish, I use this on my model boats, seals, protects and so far seems okay. But try it, what have you got to loose?
