    Spraying Trumpeter clear cowling parts

Hi all I have a trumpeter 1/32 Bearcat F8F-1B it comes with a clear cowling so that you can view the engine once complete. I want to spray the part with acrylic modelair and I'm unsure if there are any issues with spraying clear parts and if so is there any preparation I need to carry out to make the paint adhere?

Its not a problem getting paint to adhere to clear parts (as anyone who's got some on a canopy by mistake will tell you!).
