I have some warhammer figures that I wasnt happy with. So, found an article online about soaking them in Dettol to remove the paint, so that I can start again.
So, my figures
Primed in Vellejo White Primer
Painted all over with Humbrol 53 Gun Metal Grey
Painted with Citidel white, greys, blues etc etc you get the picture
Last night soaked them in a pot of Dettol and literally within an hour or two the coloured paint fell off
This morning took them out ran them under a warm tap while brushing them with a toothbrush and while there is no colour in them the grey has made a really horrible gunky mess. Took me ages to clean my fingers.
Ive put them into soak again and Ill leave them all day (No rush, Im not going anywhere), but is this normal?
Should I soak part 2 in something else? Or do they just need a little longer?
