    cleaning off adhesive and re-painting

I had a minor glue disaster earlier, standard plastic glue (humbrol) and I dropped my nicely painted Hurricane spinner into it. It was yellow, but after wiping the worst of the glue off, it took most of the paint too.

So how best to clean it up now? smooth it over, prime and yellow again? Luckily it was only this part so not too much to worry about in cleaning anything else but it needs cleaning first.

I'd sand it back and start over Neil. Wait until all glue has dried before you commence though or it will destroy the part when you rub it down.

Use a wet and dry paper in wet form. Gives a very smooth matt surface perfect for painting on.

i only use wet and dry as laurie says it gives a better finish and is cheap enough to get hold of most pound shops and wilkos have various grades in stock
