Tamiya paint instructions help!

Hi guys, painting the interior of my Ferrari 360. It is a tan colour. The instructions say:


X-18 (x-6 : 1 + xf-15 : 10)


Would I be right in saying that it is semi gloss black (x-18) as a base then on top 1 part Orange (x-6) to 10 parts flat flesh (xf-15)


That seems the best way to read it to me?!?!

Can you get a pic of it as i have done a few tamiya kits but have never come across that before

Maybe just me, but my interpretation of the instructions is that is the mixture, not the coating.


X-18 (x-6 : 1 + xf-15 : 10) that is:


Colour X-18 mixed with 1 part X-6 + 10 parts XF-15 which should come out a tan colour.

hi mate. nothing better than GSI Gunze acqueous paints. no annoying mixing. I have that bottle of Gunze tan right on my workbench right now... for seatbelts. No mixing! I sold my tamiya acrylics a long time ago. Only the odd bottle of tamiya here and there for odd colours. Good luck though

What i used on mine was a tin of humbrol rattle can no 93 desert sand and it did the job for me

I have heard these gunze are good, I may consider it for next build? I have to use some of the Tamiya as I bought them all! How do they brush paint and airbrush? Can you thin with Tamiya thinners?

I did look at humbrol rattlers the other day. In trying to go for paints for the airbrush as I seem to waste a lot of rattle can paint with my inexperience
