Paint job went funny so decided to bronze it.

For some unknown reason the paint job on this went a bit funny and it ended up in places looking like a rough casting. Having had an abortative attempt to strip it all off. (left it too long, months in fact and it would not come off) I though I would try the bronze effect that I have been experimenting with. Base coat was equal parts black and red then drybrushing with gold. It looks better in real life that the photo's suggest so I may well put it on a stand and pretend that its a real bronze one. All comments welcome, however I may not reply for a while as I have to go and spend a month in the depths of rural Normandy to look after my brothers chickens and the cat while he goes on holiday. The sacrifices we have to make for family......

Thanks for the nice comments, I have faster broadband deep in the heart of rural France than I have at home. Time we got a grip in the UK. Now off to discuss with the chickens their abysmal egg laying production.
