    Stiffening Rubber parts?

With a title like that I've opened myself up for abuse

Anyway, I've looked through the site and can't for the life of me find the post that mentioned rubber or soft plastic parts and what to dip them in to stiffen them so that paint adhered to them.

Can someone either advise or point me in the right direction to the post, the parts I'm trying to deal with are a very soft flexible rubber that just won't allow the paint to cure.

    Thanks

Adrian, I've had good results from using either Unibond or slightly diluted PVA on my soft plastic 1/72 figures. I don't know if this is what you're after but it might be worth a try.

Adrian, have you tried 'Ann Summers' !!! They may well have something

On a serious note how about Copydex seem to remember it is a kind of latex rubber which may work.

Alan, the trouble with copydex is it forms a bit of a 'skin' and tends to hide some detail. Ask me how I know?!

well Adrian, this may not be of real help, but why not try a few light coats of hair stick,

and then once dry,25% PVA,glue mixed with a base coat done lightly as it should still

            have some moment in them,

Thanks all for the advice, I had to be careful not to loose any of the detail on the parts, in the end I sprayed them with clear lacquer and again after painting
