    Correct colour for a tiger

    hi all

I'm building the academy tiger 1 winter 1944 I want to do the Michael wittman russia 44 version but I'm bit confused the instructions say dark yellow the box is showing grey under all the winter weathering as I want to try and replicate this which base coat would be most accurate

    Cheers

I've just taken a look and it says late 44 was dark yellow , this was when he received his knights cross for his 88th confirmed kill , it also mentioned it was in winter camo

    I hope this helps

Colour scheme for that year is a dark yellow base.

As the guys have said, Dunkelgelb is the correct base colour for any German AFV after August 1943.

However, Michael Wittman died in Normandy in August 1944, so the setting would have to be early 1944 before he was transferred west.
