    Lifecolor Varnish?

Has anybody got any experience with this stuff? I have a couple of bottles of their paints, which I really like a lot. I have had it up to here with Vallejo varnishes, just had to blow a fine mist of satin over my tiger prior to weathering it, and had the usual problems with it, in the end, I switched needle/nozzles for the 0.4, as the smaller one just couldn't cope. This, of course means REALLY fine finger work with the airbrush, to stop a gush coming out! Got there in the end, but binned all my Vallejo varnishes straight afterwards, to save myself further vexation.

The only thing I use my airbrush for these days, is a mist of base coat and the pre-weathering varnish - although I have varnished with a brush before, but you have to be REALLY careful not to fill up little recesses!

Yeah, I'm tempted to just get some. The main reason I want to use acrylic varnish, is so I can, occasionally put a few drops of paint in it, like I've just done with my tiger, as it had gone slightly too blue. It works a treat, as long as the stuff stays liquid long enough!!

Best gloss varnish I have, apart from Future Klear, is Alclad Aqua gloss. Simple acrylic varnish with a good high satin to medium gloss finish. Best mat varnish is Testors dull coat (I think that's what they call it) however it is lacquer based and is best airbrushed with enamel thinners although I prefer it 50/50 with cellulose thinners. Not pleasant but dulls off straight away with a fine misting.

But, sorry, no. Never used Lifecolour varnish.

Yup, gloss varnish is a doddle, I use Humbrol Clear, and it's fine, brush or airbrush. It's when I want satin or Matt that the trouble starts!! I cleaned out the nozzle of the Vallejo varnish, and that had a few nasties lurking in it, and let's face it, a particle the size of a gnat's knacker is enough to cause grief!
