odourless thinners/turpintine

Hi guys  i am getting low on my thinners for my oil paints and wondered do any of you guys use a cheaper version with good results , the ak,s migs, are small and expensive and cost even more with postage any advise ?

I buy my from the art shop,and is in bigger bottle,that are much cheaper,not being a modeling brand name,


as for being odorless,well there is still some,odor,but if you have a window open,its not so bad,maybe


just depend on what brand name you do get, 9_9

I inherited some Winsor and Newton 'Sansodor' from my mother several years ago. It seemed to work well and did have a very low odour. I've no idea what it costs because I have never bought anymore, I just reverted to other cheap thinners. I'm making models, not painting Rembrandts

I too have used the sansador and it is good but again it isn't cheap compared to non branded types.

I use plain old artists white spirit for making washes etc and just use the odourless stuff for streaking which requires something a little less hot.

It has very low odour. I cant smell it. Similar products should be available in UK .

Im not sure about milder but it just has much less odour to it.
