Steve,all I use are the cheapo,s from HK,China,pay about $20.oo odd or less, o.O
I don,t have a good,$150.oo plus for a good one,and with practice can do some great work with them,
just look for dual action, better to do bad things to a cheap one, than a costly one,in my eyes,Comment

As Moni points out a Chinese cheapo can be just as good for a fifth of the price, while a Chinese 'original' copy can be crap at half the price.
Like I said use a cheapo for practice or even as a good brush-they aren't that bad-and save the pennies and get one from over here.Comment

A story from my past work place:
We had a lot of produce that was made in Denmark or Germany and was very good and very expensive. Some smart arse found that they could get them made for a fraction of the cost in China. Which they did. They just forgot that to really make it work, they had to buy ten times as much (free shipping). and the lead time was also huge, often over six months! The result. Three manufactures in Denmark went tits up. The warehouse drowned in goods. and ha ha the customers just stopped buying them. The firm ended with about 500 tons of scrap metal.
They have seen the light and buy European when they can.
Not everything out of China is junk, We all buy some great things there. However, what they can produce for the niche, and what they can produce for the masses are to different things.!' Rant over.
