This might be of interest, I have been using international scale modelers airbrush cleaner, dear but works great and is fantastic for cleaning brushes too.
I bought some cheap (carplan I think it was) screenwash for a motor in currently have on hire and it smelt exactly the same and looked very similar if only a little more concentrated in colour than the ISM cleaner. May be watering down with some de ionised water and trying out.
I take it these products won't damage a decent airbrush like my iwata hp-ch or h&s infinity?Comment

I don't say you shouldn't use the expensive stuff but this method makes it much cheaper.Comment

Anyway, yes, screen was is a cheap bulk cleaner for airbrushed and hairy brushes if using Acrylic paint. As many above, I use it for the initial clean up then, when finished I generally flush through with a small amount of the thinner for whatever paint I am using next. It as works added to an ultrasonic cleaner, just a few drops.
I don't say you shouldn't use the expensive stuff but this method makes it much cheaper.
