I have a massive pack of those, never thought of using them on a kit before but, I guess its the same stuff as the acrylic paint you get with Revell and Humbrol etc. I wouldn't use them for washes or for doing panel lines though as other people have said acrylic dries very quickly as it's water based however, it's paint at the end of the day so no reason why you can't apply it like you would a normal 'modeling' acrylic but you would certainly want to water it down a bit else it would come out very thick and clumpy. For washes, I say it's best to stick to oil based if you want it to cover nicely the recesses in a model and flow properly through the gaps.

Because I brush paint only, I use cheapo Turps substitute for enamel washes and tap water for thinning my acrylics.

Both work just fine for me, but everyone has their own favourite and that's just fine too.....
