I usually use:
(1) Tamiya's Fine surface primer, then:
(2) a dust coat of Tamiya's gloss lacquer, then;
(3) a medium thick coat of the gloss, then:
(4) the final gloss applied thickly just up to running stage (tricky).
Time needs to be left for the propellant gas to come out of solution and it is probably different for each case. If it is less than needed, coat 2, (and especially 3 and 4) will be matt (I have experience of that). All this is as advised by Tamiya etc.
I usually allow a day for each coat, but it would be nice to reduce this if safe. (I will do more experiments but your views would be helpful).
How long do you folks leave, in a warm room, between coats 1 and 2, coats 2 and 3 and coats 3 and 4?
