    Vallejo paints

Hi guys. I've always just painted with enamels as I've only just recently got back into painting and as a child it was just standard to use humbrol enamels so when I started up again I just carried on with those. But I notice the most popular paint snobs figure painters on YouTube seems to be Vallejo so I've been into town and bought my first few colours today.

What is the difference between the Vallejo model paint and Vallejo game paint colours? I bought model paint colours but they were out of Matt black so I bought black from the game paint section? Is there any difference? I've done a coat of the black and it seems a bit shiny?

I may be wrong but I think they're much the same paint wise, just geared towards the gaming fraternity, GW etc like citadel colours, they're still acrylic paint colours, simply unusual naming relating to the products they're aimed at. (citadels are great for brush painting incidentally)

Have a look here and you can see the differences. Seems the game colours are more durable as you will be handling gaming figures a lot more.
