    Clearcoating over decals

I've built the Tamiya btcc volvo 850 estate and saloon
    I've applied the decals
Am I best to clear coat the model and if so which Tamiya clear coat do I use

You don't have to clear the decals, it's your choice. But if you do, use a clear that won't attack and melt them. Tamiya TS-13 is very hot and will melt decals if applied too heavy. My advice if you do want to clear is to use Gunze Mr Top Coat. It's very gentle and will not melt your decals..

For the Volvo I'd use the gloss. Real car was a gloss finish..
