Help with splinter camo

Any help on which is the best way of doing splinter camo on the Viggen, I have the DN Model masks do I mask the lower half and then put splinter masks up to that, hope that makes sense. I've look on you tube and found the modeller put all the masks on, and then took off what he wanted to pa and put back on
