Do you mean you want to take the chrome plate of the kit parts?

I should have worded it a bit better I know what to use to strip it off I should have said what is the best acrylic chrome paint to replace the chrome paint.

Depending on how large the items are i'd either use Molotow markers or Vallejo Metal Colour

I've seen excellent results with Alclad, takes some work though.

I like the Vallejo Metal Colours. Ok not as good as a lacquer but easier to use. Vallejo do a gloss black primer. Works well under the metallic top coat although like other Vallejo primers I find it tip dries on the airbrush. I also feel that a really chrome finish is somehow not right for a model. The Vallejo chrome seems more "in scale" if that makes sense.
By the way what do you use to strip the chrome in the first place?

This isn't what you asked for I know, but the best chrome I've come across is alclad. It may be time to try it ?
