Metallic finish

    Hello

Can I please ask advice about metallic paint? The pic is the real version of something I'm working on. As you can see it looks like a steel colour and is obviously reflective in nature. Is there a paint range which provides that type of surface please?

    Thanks

    Aidan

To me that looks like the luna lander so I doubt that it would of been steel.

I believe also that it was painted white before it was sent on its way.

If you want a metal one two ways of doing that. Either Humbrol metal cote Aluminium sprayed on the polished when dry. Or Alclad polished aluminium sprayed over a gloss black base coat.

Yes I know it was not steel - I was trying to describe the effect of the colour.

Thanks for the tip. I shall investigate those.

Or foil the part? I do this to the oleo pistons in aircraft landing gear, just stick alminium foil to the part.
