    American battleship grey?

    Hello

I was in MZ recently - they were selling a 1:350 Dragon USS Yorktown (CG-48) kit for £19, reduced from £40. I have never built a ship before, nor a Dragon kit. Quality looks really great.

I have been checking to see if I have the paints in stock. Nowhere, that I can see, do they list which shade of grey the overall ship should be. I have read and read and re-read the instructions. Does anyone know the USA equivalent of battleship grey please?

    Thanks as always

    Aidan

Battleship grey... no such colour. There are however about 15 shades of grey for the superstructure and for five for the decks, that I know of. I think you need to look for one called US Haze Gray. You can get it at Whiteensign

Thanks for the tip Ian - will seek it out. 'Battleship Grey' was an attempt at humour (i'll work on that!)

Sorry Aiden, my sense of humor is hiding in the empty pain killer bottle, must remember to buy some more tomorrow.
