    Vallejo and Tamiya acrylics

Just a quick question before I spray a model.

I plan to lay a base colour down in Tamiya acrylics, varnish, and then add the camo with Vallejo acrylics. Will this cause any nasty effects?

Probably the best way Alex to find out is to experiment before letting loose.

Though that does not give a long term confirmation.

I do believe that Tamiya & Vallejo have different dryers so what difference that makes not sure. I would have thought a good drying time to make sure the under coat is really cured is essential.

Not used Tamiya & would be interested to hear results.

I don't think it would Alex, as I've done the same thing without a sealing coat of varnish & it was fine.

I'd perhaps leave a tad more time between the coats to let the paint cure, but that might be undue caution!

Thanks Laurie and Patrick, I'll do a tester before hand and see what happens.
