Just about to build a Tamiya 1/100th Lightning and they state using AS12, Bare Metal Silver, spray for the overall finish. Is their a MA alternative maybe? I like Tamiya paint but I find their metalics a bit course grained.

How about trying humbrol polished Alu metal coat. Looks pretty good. Ot really push the boat out and give Alclad a bash. Its all the rage you know!!

Or even Games Workshop Citadel metalics. Mithril Silver for aluminium and Chainmail for polished steel/darker aluminium. Bolt Gun Metal for gun metal. Very fine grain, and spray very nicely to.Comment
