hi there I'm new to this form and looking for some help !!! I am on with building a revell 2 car Mclaren F1 set. Its not the best kit ive had a go at but it gives you plenty of sticker practice.
what im in need of knowing is! does anybody know the right paint code for the colour of the Mclarens body ?? as I'm struggling to get the colour right.
ive just used Humbrol 11 but it looks more white than silver chrome
any help would be good ??
thanks guys
Alclad chrome finish is as near to chrome as you can get, available at many model suppliers.
The genuine vehicle is a special effect 3 coat finish.
Black base-coat is applied first followed by a specialised grey coating, which is chemically activated by the next (specialised clear) coating, giving the chromium effect!
Very very expensive, difficult to apply but great job satisfaction when completed!
