They were a nightmare !!! They ant 100% perfect.

use plenty of decal solution and water , i lost a little mark out of the side of one and the back because i was tugging too much with the twesers !!

But they will do for now.

what im in need of knowing is! does anybody know the right paint code for the colour of the Mclarens body ?? as I'm struggling to get the colour right.

ive just used Humbrol 11 but it looks more white than silver chrome

any help would be good ??

            thanks guys
Alclad chrome finish is as near to chrome as you can get, available at many model suppliers.

The genuine vehicle is a special effect 3 coat finish.

Black base-coat is applied first followed by a specialised grey coating, which is chemically activated by the next (specialised clear) coating, giving the chromium effect!

Very very expensive, difficult to apply but great job satisfaction when completed!

                    No,

but I used to own my own custom paint and bodyshop and built and painted custom, race, modified cars and bikes!

Now retired and keeping my hands and mind busy modelling, but really miss the satisfaction of doing what I loved and getting

                    paid for it.

Thanks for the comment, unfortunately it's not the same as forming your own panels, welding/brazing/moulding etc.

The speciality paints I used are not suitable for use on plastic and cannot be used in a confined area!

I am getting a lot of satisfaction from my e-boat build !
