        No that is not the one. But it is similar in that it cuts away plastic to form the groove in the same way as Bare Metal Scribe.

        Think the Bare Metal Scribe is better tool in that it can get into relatively restricted areas as the handle is so thin & the tool is so thin at the sharp end.

            From what you said, what were Spits doing before war was declared. Not shooting up German planes I assume. Reconnaissance? Transporting spies into soon-to-be enemy territory?

              I would think they would be doing general fighter training.Practicing firing their guns at targets,formation flying,practicing dog fighting,that sort of stuff.Dont they would have been transporting spies As only room for one in a mk1 spitfire.

                From what I remember from the pilot interview on one of the rare times I watched tv, they came into service the year before the war and introduced as short distance interceptor aircraft.

                They were obviously preparing for the imminent argument between the two relevant countries.
