    Varnishing and finishing advice

    Hi

    Anyone have any experience of Microscale Micro Gloss Varnish and Microscale Micro Flat Varnish?

    Just finished painting up my A-10 and need to apply a varnish before going any further.

      Hi phil , my own experience of microscale flat is that its not very flat, being more like a satin finish when i sprayed it. Ive found the vallejo matt ,thinned with distilled water and misted on to be a nice matt finish. hope this helps cheers tony

          Sorry to hiijack but I've bought a bottle of Xtracrylix Satin Varnish - off the forum shop no less - anyone give me any tips on how to apply it? Neat or thinned? If thinned with what etc etc? Got an airbrush which I presume I would use.

          If the remaining stock of "Klear" wasn't being sold off stupidly expensively I'd get some of that but not prepared to pay £20+ for it even if it would work out cheaper in the long run! ;-)

              dont have to,you can get the new formula from sainsburys for about 3 or 4 quid
