    Paint reacting with glue

I have recently been bought a Tamiya Ferrari 312b kit to build and having not built a model in 20 yrs I have a few problems with it that hopefully somebody can help with.

Firstly, what type of glue is best for PE parts?

Some will need to be stuck onto a painted surface and are only a few mm in diameter.

Hi there Nath and welcome to the forum. Your best bet is to use CA glue (superglue) comes in different consistencies i.e thick, medium and thin. I would you the thin stuff.

Hi, and thanks. So you dont think CA would make paint bubble and crack?

        It probably will.

If you must glue parts to painted parts I'd suggest an acrylic cement like "Gator's Grip".

Oh ok thanks, I've got some pieces I can experiment with so ill try it out. it's a tiny PE bolt head an washer that fits on the side of the wings. Can't see any choice but to attach them after painting.
