im trying to get intouch with the supplier to order more products.

this is a very rare bust.

I wanted to do it in oils. but all I had was vallejio paints.

I have still got a long way to go with this.

I really hope I can acquire the jon coffee model from the green mile. it is exquisite and ultra rare.

Looks pretty cool. If you have or can get hold of some Vallejo Retarder, when mixed with their paints, they react pretty much like oil paints, creamy, blendable and slow drying.

I will certainly try the retarder ian thanks.

I have finished eddie now and have brought a 16th scale pilot to practice oils on. quite difficult it is too.and the drying time of course is ridiculous.

The leather on the helmet is incredibly realistic - less so Eddie's charming face, but I'm guessing that the point of that particular bit isn't realism :-)

yes the leather looks very real.and im very chuffed with my newly learned airbrushing skills.

to be honest there are so many different pics of this particular eddie and so many different colours I had to basically make it up as I went along.

but it would of definatly benifitted from using oils or as the previous post said vallajo retartder.

                              Hi Steve,

                              Looks beautiful.

as for the oils I believe Windsor and newton based in the UK have a series of fast (faster) drying oils.

another possibility is a drying box, that's a box with a light bulb in it, were u put your painted stuff in so the heat of the bulb heats the inside of the box and lets the oil in the paint vaporise much faster. Hope that explanation was clear enough? And the last possibility is the oven of the misses put it on 50 or 60 degrees and it has the same effect as the drying box.

                              Cheers Richi
