    Pledge Wood Cleaner????

    Hi folks,

I just bought Pledge Wood Cleaner, I don't know if this will work to use as a gloss coat. I got 2 questions though:
    1. Does one of you guys have an experience with it? (I'm gonna try it on a cheap 1/144 kit anyway, so i'll update later about this Pledge)
    2. If i'm gonna use the Pledge with an AB, do I need to thin it? With what? and how to clean the AB afterwards. (I heard about windex, but i don't know if we have the same Windex here in Indonesia).

Any inputs or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

That one says 'with almond oil' on the container. So it's not the same as the floor polish we get in Europe. If it was me I would use a proper gloss varnish rather than risk ruining a model.

How about cleaning an AB after using Pledge or some sort? Any idea Dave? Thanks

I use Pledge Floor Shine which is a different product to yours. Its meant for tiles, stone and linoleum.See photo below. It doesn't need thinning and I clean my airbrush with warm water. What you've got is wood cleaner .i wouldn't put that on a plastic model if I were you.

I don't know your product but I'd agree with Dave.

I'm still using the original Klear/Future and always brush it on.

              Cheers

That packet looks very similar to the Pledge Wood Polish Wipes, that my mother uses for polishing her wooden furniture.

If it is, then it's a big 'No No' as it contains a polishing agent that you wouldn't be able to paint over.

Is it a liquid or is it cloth wipes?

Save your money and buy a bottle of Varnish. Vallejo is good; both for brushing and spraying.

Use the wood polish to keep the furniture clean and shiny.
