Ok, I reckon that a) too much was already said about this and b) there are lots of "out of the box" and self made booths available...
but before you shout at me, pls have a look at my question
lease:
my painting space is not too much ventilated and, specially the primer I use (Tamiya) leaves lots of smell (and I would imagine fumes too). On top of that I paint with both enamel and acrylics (no AB only a spraygun)
the more I read about booths the more confused I get. Booths like Expo Spray booth are expensive and not 100% efficient with enamels (from what I've read)...self made booths are dangerous because they might explode, it's made with a flammable the plastic box, etc etc ...so...what would be a good booth under a very limited budget?
Re self made ones...would I get rid of the explosion risk if all electric components are waterproof? a bathroom fan would be ok...I'd assume if they are in the bathroom they should be waterproof
something like this one here would be ok? and what about the box? is it low risk if I go for a plastic one? Or can I find other alternatives?
Sorry for the long post, but I paint very occasionally so it's hard for me to spend loads of money in one booth...but on the other hand, I wouldn't like to stop painting which is the most likely with the space I have now to paint due to the poor ventilation.
Finally, yes I have a spray paint mask...but is that enough?
