Need to find source for Klear

I just used up my last bit of Klear (old bottle) and I need to get some more but I don't know what to get as it's no longer called Klear. Going down the aisle of floor finishes is mind bending with all the choices. Can someone post a picture of the new bottle I'm looking for? I apologize if this is repeat question but I did a search but couldn't find one with any pictures of the new bottle. Thanks.

Do not fooled by paying stupid prices for the now rare elixir of Klear...there new version is just as good, it is more milky and can take longer to dry but works just as well.

Any acrylic floor polish will do-that is all Klear is.

I use Klear but I also tried out the "new" version and like others that have compared it I cant see any difference. I've been told that the new Humbrol clear is also very reliable.

i would consider Humbrol Clear first. Look at the Humbrol site for the video tuition. Used it a couple of times and it does as Klear does plus more as a real thin varnish. Also more robust.

I've used the old & the new Ray, and I'd take Laurie's advice & go for a proprietary gloss varnish.

The new Klear is thinner than the old stuff & takes twice as many coats to look halfway decent - and it still isn't as good as one coat of Vallejo gloss varnish!

Solid advice. Floor polish is for floors.

These days the are literally dozens of "proper" varnishes that do the job much better.

Sorry but haven't found any of the new ones half as good as a triple dipped canopy in original Klear, I don't use it for decal applications though, just my 2p worth of course

funny that humbrol clear was mentioned as I am just about to go to the hobby shop to get a bottle of humbrol clear, being a person who likes model manufactured products and having not found pledge or Klear in the supermarkets in Australia...

I took Laurie's advice and picked up a bottle of Humbrol Clear. Sprayed some last night and when I looked this morning I was really impressed with the results. It self levels much better than the "Klear" I was using. It also takes panel line wash very well. I haven't tried any weathering yet but I have a feeling it will turn out fine. Laurie thanks again for the tip.

Just a warning about Humbrol Acrylic Matt Aerosol.

I have used it before with no adverse effects, however today I gave the bow deck section of my Boot a light spray to matt a section of the decking I had recently weathered.

The area in particular I had stippled to replicate non slip deck coating, then given a coat of 'Kleer' prior to weathering on top.

I sprayed the Aerosol, only for immediately that area to pickle (Crackel) whereas surrounding areas were unaffected!!!!!

As I am near to (floating my boat) I can't be bothered to try to correct it, just annoyed that after all this time and near to the end this should happen.

Yes... I have a new mantra only buy modelling products .

That way the model industry is kept alive (we hope)

Too many modelling enterprises vanish because of lack of sales.

I largely use my airbrush for clear coats, although I have used Humbrol satin varnish spray can before. It works very nicely, but the major problem is that it gives round splatter marks. The ab gives way more control over this process.
