    Humbrol varnish...is it enough?

    Hello All,

I'm currently finishing my "]Faun 1/72 (what a difficult one for my level of experience...justs hated the canopies provided with the vehicle)

After some Klear coats and decals is now time for the matt varnish before the weathering attempts.

What I noticed is that the vehicle is too bright. As I'm planning to use Humbrol matt varnish will this bring the brightness down? Or are there any tricks I should apply before convering it with the varnish?

I read something about using files but not sure if it's a good idea.

    Thank you.

    Cheers

Matte varnish will dull down the finish.

I wouldn't recommmend you file or sand anything before or after the matte varnish.

The only time you'd use 'sandpaper' is if using polishing pads or sticks after gloss varnish along with compound to create a deep gloss shine
