    Hi all,

Ok Im not sure how to put this really as I dont do anything with trains etc.

What I would like to know is when someone builds train sets up in any guage - what is the equivalents to other scales such as 1/35, 1/72 and so on. Does anyone know where I can read a conversion chart or something.

    Thanks

    Steve

Yes we covered this in message #202 of my blog, anyway here it is again for convenience-

Ever wondered why some manufacturers produce models to what appear to be oddball scales ? well take a look at this list and all will become clear,it is far from complete but gives some indication of the various interests -

            1:12 Large Scale

            1:13.7 7/8 inch scale

            1:20.3 G, Three-Foot Gauge on Gauge 1 Track

            1:22.5 LGB and Bachman

            1:24 Half scale

1:29 Aristo-Craft, USA Trains, standard gauge on #1 gauge

            1:32 I scale

            1:48 O scale

            1:64 S scale

            1:87.1 HO scale

            1:120 TT scale

            1:160 N scale

            1:220 Z scale

so , say then that for example i have got a model ship at 1/128 , what would be nearest scale for me to crew the ship , and that are readlly avialable.

Dont know much about the smaller scales in boats but would something in between HO and N gauge railway stuff work?
