It is nigel it's just on the 6x3 baseboard i built when the layout was in the bedroom that my sister as reclaimed back and when i built that one i put two flat braces on the under side of the frame work, and just two small upright blocks on them to hold the brace that both boards are screw to and now the two flat cross braces are now sagging about 5mm.

So now i need to fit two full length upright braces between the flat ones and the baseboard and remove the two small ones so it pulls it all together and gets rid of that sagging.I was going to do it when the layout was in the bedroom but i just forgot about it till now when i was up there moving something and remembered about the sagging when i looked at them.

Well i manged to get the two braces on the two flat ones that had bowd causing the middle to sag alittle.

The first pic show the first one put in place.

The second one show the the incline that goes under the layout sitting on the brace which needs screwing to it.

These next ones are of the second brace before and after it was fitted to the flat brace.

          A before photo

          An aftered photo

And a close up of the notch cut out for the incline to sit in.

Going to finish off the roof today as i never got it done the other day as my parents went out clothes shopping with my sister so i had to stay down stairs till they got back, also still need to fit the two smaller boards and to get my dad to move the light switch from above the layout to below it which i'll get him to do on saturday. And then maybe start track laying at the weekend but we will see what happens as it always changes when the day comes.

Right i've had a switch round of buildings so i now have the diesel depot on the upper level with the station and a industrial works, and on the lower level theres the steam sheds and another station with the row of house to the back of the station. The track plan still needs more colour adding to so it looks more better to show whats what on it,but anyways here the track plan.

Well now that i have changed the track plan i have found out that i have to many R/H points and not enough L/H points,so now i have to order another 8 L/H points which i will order next saturday and the extra R/H points will be used somewhere on the layout but i do not know where or i might make a small shunting plank with them.

To save me buying the 8 L/H points i need i removed the extra track line at the back of the station on the lower level,i also replaced some of the L/H points with R/H ones were i could and now i only need 1 L/H point so now i am happy that i don't have to spend £40 on more points.

Yippy i can now buy my Shunter next weekend and not more points plus i couldn't get in the loft to do any work as my parents spent most of the afternoon out, first time food shopping then the second time was to get some stuff for my sister bedroom so now it will be tomorrow now.

Well i need to buy 12 more lengths of flexi track as i am short on straight track as i check to see what track i have accually got and i haven't got enought straight sections,so my shunter will have to wait now maybe for afew weeks or months.

I have enough to get all the lower level done but will need more to do the upper level.

Just to let you all know that i am in the loft track laying but i am only laying track upto the fiddle yard as i need to glue some cork sheets down before the track can go down,Plus it is bloody cold up in the loft so i had to get the Fan heater from my parents bedroom to keep my legs warm while up here.

Pics will follow tomorrow afternoon of my progress i did today.

I started to glue the cork down at 12.00pm for the fiddle yard and need to glue another two or three full sheets to finish the fiddle yard off,but am waiting for the 4 i just put down for the glue to dry and while that happens i am working on the other side and laying track upto the 6x4 baseboard.

Then when the glue has dried on the fiddle yard side i will start laying the track there and lay the half pieces of cork aswell for the fiddle yard but i will work up to the 6x4 board,as i will lay that part tomorrow afternoon and hope to have all the lower level done by friday or saturday.

For now i have just layed the flexi track out for the fiddle yard till tomorrow as i need to fit a piece of ply where the tracks run over the brick wall so that needs tobe done before i can pin the track down,i've taken three pics to show the size of the fiddle yard and i will take pics of the rest of the layout when it is cleaner as i have track and allsorts all over the layout at the moment.

Heres the two pics of the fiddle yard.

Heres another pic i took showing it better.
