00 gauge West country class loco 34018 "AXMINSTER"

Another of my builds done in the back ground over the last couple of months built using an airfix battle of Britain class kit but altered to represent the nearly identical West country class loco the reason I chose AXMINSTER is I lived in the town for a few years.
The decals are of the press fix type and the name plate and smoke box door numbers are etched but ment to for the triangle loco and ligthly .[ATTACH]313647[/ATTACH][ATTACH]313648[/ATTACH][ATTACH]313649[/ATTACH][ATTACH]313650[/ATTACH]weathered

Nice finish on an old faithful. This is the old Kitmaster kit isn’t it? Probably older than me LOL.
West Countries and Battle of Britain classes were virtually identical as far as I know, perhaps tender differences for the hasting line loading gauge. Just named for different areas of operation really, but used ubiquitously over the whole network. When my brother in law was a fireman on the Mid Hants they had one fitted out differently on each side, one side Swanage and the other side Tangmere. It was always known as Tangage....
