    Ashford Model Railway Club

Located in the Centrepiece Church basement in Ashford town Centre, Kent.

It's quite a tiny room but still with a fair bit of room for several layouts, although I'm not sure how we do it!

Club evenings are every Thursday and Monday and there are a range of members all with other interests as well as railways, so it's quite an interesting atmosphere. There is usualy an annual exhibition in the clubroom and in the church hall above. As well as that, we are often invited to bring the layouts along to shows such as the Kent County Show and various other exhibitions.

We are always looking for new members and people who can offer new tallents!

Our website can be located here

This made me think, wonder why there are so many model railway clubs that are attached to churches ? also a lot of interest with vicars etc being interested in railways, and then we have the wonderful Reverand Audrey who did so mch to promote railways with his 'Thomas the tank' cannot remember his name but what about that vicar who had a miniature outdoor railway in his garden together with a full size traction engine in the Leicester area,he used to share his interest with like minded members of his flock,it is good to see things like this happening and enthusiasts getting together in this way to share their hobbies and get the best from them.

Sounds as if your club is on the right lines Jon.
