    Excellent B-24 reference

You may already be familiar with this site, but I only stumbled on it yesterday. There are some incredible full 360-degree, rotatable images of various parts of the Liberator interior. Being 'inside' the Sperry ball turret actually felt claustrophobic, especially looking up.

Laura Hillenbrand's book "Unbroken" about the exploits of Louis Zamperini (who died only recently) described the B-24 in some detail. It was apparently a terrible aeroplane to crew, and had some very dangerous and major faults with it. As an aside the book is well worth a read. Search his name online, the story is very inspiring.

That website is very interesting Mike, cheers for the link.
