    Scales...

    Hi All,

Recently someone ask about SCALES and how it related to the actual item, be it a aircraft or a tank. He got his replies and hopefully understands now.

I have just come across some scale rulers on a website, that you can print-out. If you stick one of these onto some platicard you have a ruler to measure you models in Feet or Metres, As per the image attached. The truck is 7 metres long?? or about 19cm..

They can be found at hungrylizardstudio'>www.hungrylizardstudio.com/ssm/32-100.pdf

    Hope it helps

    Regards

    Mel.

Hey that is good Mel. You can buy scales & having been in architecture all my life & I have all the usual ones & have been using them approximating as they do not quite match up.

But modeling for some reason has chosen unusual ones. You would have thought 75 50 & 30 but no for some reason 32, 48 & 72 are used. So these for nothing are very usueful

    Thanks

    Laurie

I think that is a great link Mel, many thanks for sharing it. Scales often gets confusing so anything that can help to simplify it can only be useful.

Good idea when airbrushing is to give the paper a coat of varnish to preserve.
