for those who are thinking of somewhere to visit, try this place,
Englands oldest surviving model village, in Beaconsfield on the M40 in Buckinghamshire......
open until the end of october, then closed for winter and opens again in march 2006,
well established as englands oldest model village, reputed to have the largest working outdoor gauge 1 railway, ( well i think its gauge 1 !!!)
and just a nice place to lose about 2- 3 hrs !

as you can see a great feat of modelling, the model trains all run from a miniture signal box with a full lever frame !- and models that cover most aspects, - marine, automotive, architectural, rail and even a bit of fun, fantasy and humour thrown in for good measure, !- all 'proceeds' from the model village go to local charities and these funds are administered by the church army, - so vist - its all for a good cause !
