Having purchased the plans of the Mud Duck and the Agri Duck large model aircraft I had difficulty sourcing the foamcore as the americans call it I finaly had to buy £100 worth of the sheets from the manufacturer so I now have enough to build for evermore. however it does mean that if anyone is building in foamcore I can give him 6feet x 4feet sheete for £5 per sheet the total building of the large Mud Duck only took three sheets! better than balsa.
My other reason for posting is to see if we can get any other mud duckers on board.
My own plane is not yet finished and I have had some problems with paint eating the foam. Does anyone know of a paint that does not eat foam ?I have covered the edges with paper as suggested but I could do without the hassle.
I also intend building the agroduck but much later. Our splash in at Loch Insh is coming up anybody made floats from foamcore?
