    Cti

CTI's powerful, user-friendly software makes it easy to control every aspect of your model railroad from your PC.

Our interactive control panel puts you in charge at a Centralized Traffic Control center. You can dispatch trains, configure routes, and assign blocks, all with a single click of the mouse.

And with CTI, you'll always be up to date on what's happening across your layout, as you monitor the flow of rail traffic via an interactive track schematic, displayed in full color on your PC screen, and updated automatically in real-time to portray train locations, turnout positions, block assignments, etc.

But interactive control is just the beginning. Your CTI system can also be instructed to perform any sequence of control operations automatically. Using "TCL" (the Train Control Language), CTI's innovative new programming language designed especially for model railroading, you can teach your PC to run any part of your railroad with no operator intervention.

For example, you can implement block and cab control schemes, prototypical signal networks, and grade crossings that run fully automatically, just like the real thing. CTI's innovative software, makes it easy.

But don't stop there. Let your trains make automated station stops, run your passenger service according to regularly scheduled timetables, synchronize sound and lighting to the action on your layout, whatever. The capabilities of the CTI system are limited only by your imagination.

What actually controls the points and signals and lights then - some kind of servo or soleniod or something? What's the connection to your PC, parallel, serial, usb?

Must say it sounds damn good. So you could have your train slow down for way works and so on? Any ideas on cost?
