Some of you well experienced modellers may well have already discovered this, but I have found using Humbrol No.1 clear varnish excellent for attaching clear plastic canopies to aircraft. Just apply the varnish to the fuselage canopy edge with a cotton bud (or similar) then apply canopy to fuselage (or can be applied to both surfaces) apply slight pressure until a small seam of varnish appears around edge the stickiness of the varnish helps to hold canopy in place and also allows some repositioning to get a perfect fit. Leave overnight to dry and hey presto a seamless canopy application without all the trauma of using glue, and a tin of Humbrol 1 is cheaper than canopy fix. It's also probably best to apply Johnson Klear to the canopy before doing this operation just for belt and braces purpose, I now apply Klear to plastic canopies as soon as they are unwrapped.
