Airfix OO/HO Class 9F 2-10-0 Steam Locomotive No. 92250. 'Abandoned, but not forgotten'.
Thanks ever so much for all your most excellent posts, and thanks to Pete for taking the time to post the pictures.
Tim - Not that I'm particularly bothered, but isn't the middle picture a Collett 2-6-0 ? I'll give the wagon some thought, but I am still leaning towards the single loco. Somehow it makes for a more 'sad' scene.
Carl - Just one rust colour, but I altered the shades by mixing with less or more tap water.
Hi Ron
The yard is looking great. It has that realistic abandoned look.

When things get back to normal. we will have to meet up in the 'Poachers'....
Just passed The Poachers is a narrow road off to the left and there is a little car park leading directly onto the towpath. Next summer when the sun is shining and we have all had our anti Covid jab I'll buy you a pint and a bar meal and we can sit outside and put the world to rights :thumb2:

Hi Ron.
Youโre almost certainly right....I sometimes think the real legacy of the GWR in loco design was the notion of cut and paste.....along with the use of a photocopier to make things bigger or smaller.....I much prefer the manly designs of Dugald Drummond or Oliver Bulleid...though at least the GWR got the engine colour right.
Boys, thank you for your very kind and encouraging posts. All very much appreciated. :thumb2:
Yesterday I had divine intervention - The Wife! "Stop Fiddling!" she do sed. So stop I have...
I added these before she bo****ked me.
Wot's a scrapyard without an oil drum fire?!
Naughty fly tipping.

Thanks for all your great 'Hark backs', humorous and helpful suggestions during this build.
A special thanks to Pete and Tim for taking the time to post their respective pictures.
Oh, and Ralph for his appalling attempts at humour!
There are a couple of surprises lined up.
Now all I have to do is wait for a nice sunny day to take the final pictures. See you in 2202!

Looking very good indeed Ron.
it sounds like your wife has an eye for the hobby!!
My wife made an interesting comment recently on my dogfight doubles build, when she said that the planes looked "too clean" after the post decal coat of varnish. We all know she meant weathering! Perhaps there is hope for her yet!!
