Left side radiator built and fitted.

While waiting for some other painted parts to dry I fitted the swingarm and rear wheel assembly but I kind of got ahead of myself because I will need to take it off again as I will not be able to fit the chainguard as one of the mounting screws is under the frame with no room to get a screwdriver in. Not to worry as it is fitted with a long bolt so no glued parts to contend with.

While I had it together I checked the chain length only to find it is at least one link too long so Tamiya's recommended 120 links is a bit out but the chain links are easy to split off and if any get damaged there are a few spare links left in the box.

    Andy.

If that was set in a workshop back ground youโ€™d be hard pressed to tell it wasn't the real thing. If the swinging arm travels it might need the extra link, got to say im loving this build

Spent a while building and painting the front brake calipers, 9 parts for each one.

Hard to see but they even have brake pads in them.
Front view with tiny Nissin decals.

I was going to ask similar, like does the kit come with a tiny bottle of brake fluid? :smiling5:

They certainly look good enough to be functioning!

I am not a 2 wheel fan after departing a Honda CB750 in 80s but the realism of this kit and your building skills are amazing. As already stated the bike looks real. Well done.

Thanks very much for the comments guys, the quality of this kit makes building it so easy if a little time consuming with the number/size of parts. The upside is it makes me look more skilled than I really am.

I painted the front mudguard with some Halfords white I had lying about.

It may look OK in the picture but pure white it is not so I ordered some Tamiya Pearl white which came today so I will give it another go tomorrow.
A few more bits of bodywork, radiators, dash etc fitted.

The exhaust system is also completed but I am not too happy with the colour on the pipe bends where they exit the cylinder head but will see what it looks like on the completed model, if I need to re-do them it is not a problem as the whole system is fitted on using small screws so can be removed easily.

                          Andy.
